James is FitBit’s Co-Founder and has served as our Chairman since May 2015, as a member of the board of directors since March 2007, and as President and CEO since September 2007. Previously, James served as a Director of Product Development at CNET Networks, as the President and a Co-Founder of Wind-Up Labs, Inc. (an online photo-sharing company acquired by CNET Networks in April 2005). He was also CTO and Co-Founder of Epesi Technologies, Inc., a software company. James attended Harvard College where he studied Computer Science.
Amit is Senior Evangelist on Amazon’s Alexa Voice Service team. Alexa is the voice enabled personality that powers groundbreaking Amazon devices like the Echo, Dot, and Amazon Tap. His role involves helping developers, makers and startups build incredible experiences using the Alexa Voice Service platform.
Vibhu is the CEO and co-founder of b8ta, a technology company born from the frustrations of retail felt by both consumers and manufacturers. Vibhu was formerly a lead engineer at Nest Labs, acquired by Google. Previous to Nest, he was the founder and CEO of Origami Labs, lead engineer at MySpace, and software engineer at Threadbox.
Aashish is the Head of Business for Amazon Launchpad. Amazon Launchpad identifies and launches startups from venture backed companies, crowdfunding, and incubators. Prior to joining Amazon, Aashish was VP of Sales and Operations at the startup Bellycard, where he helped raise over $20M in venture funding. Before joining Bellycard, Aashish spent 6 years at eBay running various seller programs including the Top Seller Account Management program. He also executed and implemented a partnership with Xiu.com  to relaunch eBay in China in 2012. Prior to eBay, Aashish was at Bain Consulting and JP Morgan Chase in the technology investment banking practice. He holds an MBA from Kellogg and a BS degree University of California, Berkeley.Â
I am currently an investor. I'm a Venture Advisor to GGV Capital, and I manage three funds I've created called Haystack, which is proud to be an early investors in over 70 companies, such as Instacart, DoorDash, Hired, Coin, Navdy, Managed By Q, and many others. In the past, I have been a formal paid consultant to a handful of VC firms ncluding General Catalyst, Kleiner Perkins, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Trinity Ventures, Bullpen Capital, and GGV Capital.
Before moving into investing full-time, I worked on product and product marketing at Swell (by Concept.io) for almost two years, until the company was acquired by Apple. Vijay Chattha is recognized for his aggressive and creative approach. In 2013, Chattha built Wareness.io, a marketing accelerator and seed investment fund for hardware startups that mixes all forms of marketing but is driven by creative storytelling. The results thus far have been historic. Tile, Moov, Navdy, Osmo, goTenna and Ringly have become some of the most successful hardware crowdfunding campaigns of all time. All of these hardware companies are brand new startups with no visibility before working with Wareness and yet will have combine to do over $80M in direct-to-consumer revenue by the end of 2015. In the past decade, he has led strategic communications for companies that have experienced over $8B in client exits and transactions including many M&A results to the likes of Google, eBay, Twitter, Zynga, Visa, Nokia, and PayPal.
